Worthing Rowing Club in Worthing is a coastal rowing club and cater for all rowers, experienced or completely new to the sport. Although we predominately race on the coast, we also own river boats and race on the river during the winter.
Founded in 1880, we are one of the oldest clubs in Worthing. We are located at Splash Point, Marine Parade, just a 5-minute stroll east of the Pier in Central Worthing.
Through the year, we race at regattas along the South Coast from Herne Bay to Swanage, as well as in-land on the river. The last regatta of the season is usually the South Coast Championships where all the clubs from the CARA, H&DARA and the West of England ARA meet.
Club nights are Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6.00 onwards. However, some member’s train most days of the week.
The Junior section, for 16 and under year olds, meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays between 5:00 and 6:30.
We are members of the Coast ARA (CARA), the Hants & Dorset ARA (H&DARA) as well as British Rowing (BR).
