Eastbourne Redoubt Fortress is one of the South Coast’s most historic landmarks and named one of the top ten military museums in the UK.
Discover over 200 years of history at this Napoleonic Fortress, this Georgian Fortress was built to defend against Napoleon. It continued as a working fortress for many years, also used during World Wars I & II by Military Police, Home Guard and Canadian forces and it still stands as a unique monument to that time along with a vibrant events programme.
The Redoubt Fortress on Eastbourne seafront is open for FREE weekend tours at 12 pm and 2 pm.
