Dana Gillespie and the London Blues Band at Ropetackle Arts Centre, recording since 1964, Blues music has always been Dana’s first love.
Dana Gillespie made her first record in 1964 and all these years later she is still recording. In 2019 she released her 70th album called ‘Under My Bed’ for Ace Records.
In the 1970s, Dana performed as the first Mary Magdalene in the West End musical ‘Jesus Christ Superstar’.
David Bowie wrote the song ‘Andy Warhol’ for which she was the vocalist on the ‘Ziggy Stardust’ album.
Blues music has always been her first love.
Dana is accompanied by The London Blues Band, who are considered to be the cream of the London Blues scene.
