English Music Festival May Concerts at St Mary’s Church in Horsham, from 28th-31st May 2021 celebrating Britain’s rich musical heritage by showcasing the brilliance, innovation and beauty of works by British composers.
Celebrated baritone, Roderick Williams, singing English song-cycles; the ravishing Orchestra of the Swan playing works by Holst and Vaughan Williams; the acclaimed Armonico Consort performing Purcell and Handel; toe-tapping classics for seven-piece dance-band from the 1930s; chamber works by Delius, Bax, Finzi and Bliss; scintillating piano music by Billy Mayerl, Ivor Novello and Haydn Wood – where else could you hear all these, and more, but at the English Music Festival – now coming to Horsham!
The Fourteenth EMF is moving, and this year will take place in and around St Mary’s Church, Horsham, over the second May bank holiday, 28-31 May 2021. Although restrictions will prevent the usual inclusion of the BBC Concert Orchestra, we are delighted to be presenting ten concerts featuring chamber orchestras and ensembles, dynamic young baroque groups and song recitals.
