Dark Skies Adventure Walk in Amberley near Arundel a gentle night-time adventure walk on the South Downs and part of the South Downs Dark Skies Festival 2020.
With a hugely experienced and qualified local guide leading the way, venture out onto the hills above Amberley and enjoy the vast open skies from this stunning viewpoint. Along the trail, your guide will pause to enlighten you on the fascinating natural history and geology of the area – there may even be time to refine some night navigation skills.
While you walk, make the most of the peace and stillness; listen for nocturnal wildlife, soak up the 360-degree panoramas, spot Sussex villages, local landmarks and the coastline, and weather permitting, take the time to wonder at the stars and planets as they appear.
With limited light pollution, this Dark Skies Reserve is a great location to test your astronomical knowledge! After our walk, maybe take the time to wander around the quaint streets of Amberley and visit one of the charming pubs in the village.
