Helen Lacey (soprano) and Max Bilbe (piano) perform the drama of Wolf’s songs in Turbulence of Love. Discover snapshots of 17th century Italy as seen through a German lens through this original staging, with a pre-talk given by Hugo Wolf expert and author, Richard Stokes.
This is the second recital of a new Lewes Music Group chamber music concert series, Chamber Music in Art. The aim of every concert in this series is to render high-level music-making an inter-sensory experience, involving either visual art, poetry or film.
Our performers are young musicians who are either studying or have recently graduated from the Royal Academy of Music.
