Twelfth Night in Brighton | 5th to 9th April 2022 | The Curzon, Brighton, East Sussex
Twelfth Night in Brighton at The Curzon, from 5th to 9th April 2022 Curzon Theatre Productions bring you Shakespeare’s ‘Twelfth Night’ to fanciful life.
From the same creative team that brought you ‘The Seagull’ & ‘The Haunting of Hill House’ we now take you to Illyria. a land of timeless fantasy — who, in any era, wouldn’t want to wash up there? — Curzon Theatre Productions bring you Shakespeare’s ‘Twelfth Night’ to fanciful life – this time as a turn-of-the-20th-century romance, inspired by the 1915 sinking of the transatlantic ocean liner RMS Lusitania off the coast of Ireland. In this new adaptation even the language has been updated so all can enjoy this timeless story.
Lady Viola is washed ashore but her twin brother Sebastian is lost. Determined to survive on her own, she steps out to explore a new land. So begins a whirlwind of mistaken identity and unrequited love. The nearby households of Olivia and Orsino are overrun with passion… Where music is the food of love, and nobody is quite what they seem, anything proves possible.
*We regret the venue has no wheelchair access*
