The Seagull at The Curzon in Brighton, from 10th-14th August 2021 the first of many new productions created by the Curzon Theatre Company, sees Chekhov’s tale of ambition, love, loneliness and fame in a new adaptation.

A young woman is desperate for fame and a way out. A young man is pining after the woman of his dreams. A successful writer longs for a sense of achievement. An actress wants to fight the changing of the times. In an isolated chateau in the French countryside where dreams are in tatters, hopes dashed, hearts broken and there is nowhere left to turn, the only option is to turn on each other
Supported by The Curzon, Brighton, we will also be deepening its commitment to making theatre more appealing to a wider audience across all their shows at the Curzon – offering combined dinner-theatre performances on certain dates
Performances run for about 2h 30m, including two 20m intervals.
