Star Party at British Airways i360 in Brighton an evening of stargazing, as part of the South Downs Dark Skies Festival 2020, with the opportunity to take part in a special Dark Skies pod flight on the i360 itself as well.
Astronomers from the South Downs National Park Authority, Sussex University and Brighton Astro will be setting up their powerful telescopes on the seafront to give everyone the experience of looking at our night sky. This part of the event is free but will be weather dependent, so check on the South Downs National Park website or social media to check that the sky is clear enough before setting out.
But to make the evening even more special there is also an opportunity to take a 45-minute stargazing pod flight on the i360 itself, accompanied by Dark Skies Ranger, Dan Oakley. Booking for this extra part of the event is essential, and prices and booking information can be found on the i360 events page. The pod flight will take place no matter what the weather!
West Beach Bar and Kitchen will be open where you can grab a bite to eat and warm up with a hot drink, whilst enjoying a Dark Skies VR experience, giant space colouring wall and games for the whole family to enjoy.
